I thought of another experiment of a meal with available ingredients from our pantry. I called it Chicken and Potato Casserole Whatever and it turned out really good as per my hubby.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless chicken breast (cubed)
- 3 pcs bacon
- 4 potatoes (cubed)
- 1 cup Broccoli
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup grated cheese
- 1/4 cup cubed cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Instruction
- Cook the bacon in a medium size pan
- Remove and save for later.
- Use bacon grease to fry chicken for about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic powder, pepper and salt.
- Add olive oil and cook cubed potatoes and Broccoli, cook for 5 minutes
- Add water and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Put butter on a separate pan and stir flour slowly while butter melts.
- Add milk and cubed cheese. Stir until thick.
- Transfer the cooked chicken with potatoes and broccoli into a baking pan
- Pour in the cheese sauce. Scatter grated cheese and crashed bacon on top of it
- Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese melts.
